Community Events

The Yuma County Adult Probation Department and employees have been actively involved with numerous community events over the years.  Some of the more popular ones would be our Annual Halloween Carnival that we organize.  This event is is also attended by numerous other local agencies.  The main purpose is Halloween safety for the kids.  The event consists of many booths with games and concession areas for everyone.  Every year the event seems to get bigger and is looked forward to by many goblins and trick or treaters.  We also put one on for the East County area schools.  All the supplies and candy are donated by employees and local businesses.  Another popular event would be our annual Christmas Basket drive, in which donated items are gathered for food and gift basket for needy families in the area.  In the photos below, you will also see that we participate yearly in the Yuma Area Law Enforcement Torch Run that benefits the Special Olympics.
